By Pastor Russ Lackey

But they have conquered Satan by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they did not cling to life even in the face of death” (Revelation 12:11).

The ancient serpent, Satan, is a deceiver who wages war on this earth. His weapon is deception and his goal is to turn humanity against each other. Today, the serpent is winning because we are waging war on one another. As Christians, our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities. We conquer the devil’s lies by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony. May we live in the truth of Christ’s love and speak that truth to each other. As we do this, we become united instead of divided and we put to death the great deceiver.

With love,

Pastor Russ

A PRAYER FOR THOSE IN THE STORM:

Steer the ship of my life, good Lord, to your quiet harbor, where I can be safe from the storms of sin and conflict. Show me the course I should take. Renew in me the gift of discernment, so that I can always see the right direction in which I should go. And give me the strength and the courage to choose the right course, even when the sea is rough and the waves are high, knowing that through enduring hardship and danger in your name we shall find comfort and peace.
